What Makes Us Different?

Boerne and San Antonio Physical Therapy at Its Finest

What makes Foundation Physical Therapy different? Purely the fact that we aim to be different. We refuse to settle. We often hear patients say “the last clinic I was at didn’t even look at that!” We take the patient as a whole. You are not just a torn rotator cuff, a sprained ankle, neck or low back pain. We make sure to do whole body screens for every single patients. We want to know everything to help get you on your way as fast as we can.

At Foundation Physical Therapy we get you where you want to be. We know you’ve been to clinics in the past that didn’t help you. So have we. We are not that clinic. Patients walk through our doors unsure of what to expect or they expect the same thing they had elsewhere. We thrive on these moments. We know what physical therapy should be. We understand the frustrating process of healing and the struggle that having pain creates. Every single patient has unique personal goals for therapy so we tailor everything to get you there. 16 years old with a torn ACL and dreams of playing college sports? We’ll help you impress the scouts. 65 years old with frozen shoulder and goals of getting back on the tennis court? If you give us the effort we’ll be your best resource to get you back in the game. Runner with sciatica that won’t stop? We’ve done it before and we’ll do it again. Your goal is what drives us. Your goal becomes our goal. Yes sometimes these things take time but we have the specialized skills to help get you there.

Notice the word “we” shows up a lot. Its a team effort from working with our patients, their doctors and all of our staff as a unit. We don’t want patients to say “well I only do this because my therapist said so.” Instead the goal is for patients to say “well I do this because my therapist explained how my injury works and I understand how to help manage my symptoms.”

At Foundation Physical Therapy we pull out all the stops. We utilize Functional Movement Screens, the Regional Interdependence Model (video below), Blood Flow RestrictionDry Needling, Home Exercise ProgramsCupping and ALL OF OUR therapist are Fellowship Trained (which means we don’t use Physical Therapy Assistants).
